Elambulassery Karunakara Aided Upper Primary School had played an important role in the development history of thevillage of Elambulassery since more than six decades.The school which started functioning with 13 students on September 13th of 1950, has reached 65 years of service, climbing the steps growth and overcoming all the challenges with its operational efficiency.Our school is among the leading schools in the sub-district in the academic activities. Students of our school are generally good performers in the academics. Our teachers always put their best efforts in understanding and implementing the methods of new curriculum. Our school performed well continuously in co-curricular activities like sports, arts, work education and maths festivals. In work experience festivals of the sub-district, our school has been winning first place in the last 20 years except 2 or 3 years. We have hosted 6 times the sub-district level festivals including arts festival and science festival. In Arts festivals we are performing well constantly. In sports also our school has proven its capabilities till last few years.
We need to achieve a constructivist and multiple intelligence based learning environment at the school, that engages students in the construction of knowledge and that stimulates each student according to their own intelligence type.The school campus and classrooms of KAUPS needs a complete redesign and modification to develop such learning spaces.The new learning environment will enhance our capabilities for educating children for our future, who will be able to think, learn, question and face the challenges of future world.
